Job Purpose:
As an Apprenticeship Manager, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and overseeing apprenticeship programs within the organization. This position requires a combination of strategic thinking, program development, and effective communication to ensure the success of apprentices and contribute to the organization’s talent development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Development:

  • Design, develop, and implement apprenticeship programs that align with the organization’s strategic goals and workforce needs.
  • Collaborate with department heads and HR to identify key skills and competencies required for apprenticeship roles.

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Lead the recruitment process for apprentices, including the creation of job descriptions, outreach, and selection of candidates.
  • Develop and implement effective onboarding processes to integrate apprentices seamlessly into the organization.

Mentorship and Guidance:

  • Facilitate mentorship programs, matching apprentices with experienced professionals to provide guidance and support.
  • Monitor and evaluate mentorship relationships, ensuring a positive and constructive learning experience for apprentices.

Training and Development:

  • Coordinate and oversee training initiatives for apprentices, working with internal and external resources to deliver comprehensive learning experiences.
  • Assess and address the learning needs of apprentices, adjusting training programs as necessary.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the progress and performance of apprentices.
  • Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to apprentices and their mentors.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant apprenticeship regulations, standards, and industry requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of apprentice progress, training hours, and other relevant documentation.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, including department managers and human resources.

Communication:

  • Communicate program goals, updates, and achievements to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a point of contact for apprentices, addressing inquiries and providing support throughout their apprenticeship journey.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in program development, talent management, or workforce development.
  • Strong understanding of apprenticeship models, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

Required:

  • Experience -Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Apprenticeship Manager role.
