Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuous, meaningful advancement for assigned learners by aligning with their personalised learning plans, ensuring timely qualification completion.
  • Support learners in expanding their knowledge and skills, nurturing their aspirations, and unlocking their full potential.
  • Take charge of the safety and well-being of assigned learners, ensuring their protection and promoting a nurturing environment.
  • Deliver high-quality learning experiences that meet the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework’s standards.
  • Maintain strict adherence to quality assurance and compliance procedures set by TheLightBulb, awarding organizations, end point assessment bodies, and other stakeholders.

Teaching, Learning, and Assessment

  • Sign up and induct new learners using robust initial assessment, skills scans, and diagnostic tools (Forskills) ensuring learners are working to the appropriate level for their program and that these levels are sufficiently challenging.
  • Provide appropriate and impartial advice and guidance at induction.
  • Plan, agree, and recordthe individual learning plan with each learner according to individual needs, results of the IA, and diagnostics and in collaboration with the employer.
  • Use ILP, curriculum plans, and delivery models to plan a sequenced program of learning.
  • To carry out visits within the learner’s workplace to support and train learners in the broader development of their skills and knowledge as well as the achievement of their qualifications.
  • Use the Assessment Visit Record document to complete a visit report for each learner meeting.
  • Learner reviews to be carried out within organisations timescales and dependent on learner needs. No reviews are to be more than 2 weeks past the scheduled date.
  • To conduct and record learner reviews that promote learner awareness of progression and development and that are in line with individual learner needs and contractual obligations.
  • To plan and diarise visits making best use of travel time and working hours whilst minimising environmental impact.
  • Provide appropriate and impartial advice and guidance that supports the learner’s progress and progression.
  • Prepare for, attend, and actively participate in monthly caseload review panel meetings.
  • Report any potential problems with learners and/or employers in a timely manner following the organisations’ processes.
  • Actively engage with learners and employers to promote progress.
  • To maintain efficient record keeping and learner tracking using the systems provided and report agreed targets in a timely manner against agreed deadlines to enable the tracking of learner progress on a real-time basis through to the completion of the program.
  • All learner paperwork to be accurate and correct for all funding streams.
  • Be conversant with and operate all appropriate information technology resources available.
  • Liaise with the IQA team to ensure capacity is available for IQA activities to guarantee the timely completion of learners.
  • Communicate and liaise with employers of learners to ensure all parties are aware of the progress of the learner, any additional developmental/ support needs, and any potential risks/issues.
  • Provide updates to Employers on learner’s progress via the Employer Update Form
  • Respond promptly and positively to IQA and EQA feedback.
  • Be available for EQA visits as and when required.
  • Actively promote the concept of plagiarism to all learners.
  • Recruit potential new learners and employers to help maintain and develop personal occupancy levels.
  • You will be delivering Certifications and/or Diplomas and you will need to hold an assessing qualification either a TAQA 3, Cava 3, or A1 as well as a minimum of 3 -5 years of occupational experience

General

  • Participate in the continual quality improvement process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date training plan/diary at all times including occupational competence for vocational areas.
  • Undertake continuing personal development through attendance and active participation in regular standardisation meetings and development opportunities.
  • Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Adhere to relevant company policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the updating of relevant departmental procedures where appropriate.
  • To attend internal meetings and where necessary initiate and chair these ensuring minutes are produced, circulated, and stored correctly.
  • To represent the company positively and professionally at external meetings when requested and when appropriate.
  • To undertake any other tasks as deemed appropriate by the company.

Ideal Candidate –

  • Training: 1 year (required)
  • Health and social care: 3 years (preferred)
