Looking for a job after a long period of unemployment or whilst managing a long-term health condition or disability can be a real challenge. The Local London Work and Health programme, funded by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and delivered by Get Set UK on behalf of partners Maximus, delivers employment, health and wellbeing support tailored to meet your personal needs and circumstances.
We understand that you may have been overlooked by employers in the past and are here to help you develop your skills and boost your confidence. We put your health and wellbeing at the heart of our services to help you overcome any employment barriers you are facing. Together we will overcome any challenges or concerns that you may have and help you find and stay in work.

Following a referral from your local Jobcentre Plus Work Coach we will guide you through the Local London Work and Health programme to help you find and secure a job. If you are unemployed and have claimed benefits for more than two years or are suffering from a long-term health condition or a disability this programme, Get Set UK can help you find a job that’s right for you.
As a participant, you will have a dedicated Employment Advisor who will get to know you and identify your skills, needs and job aspirations, and provide you with the right support to achieve your employment goals. Every path to employment is different and your Employment Advisor will help you maximise your potential by providing advice and support tailored to your individual needs for up to 21 months.

Being unemployed for a prolonged period can be challenging, your dedicated Employment Advisor will guide you through your journey back into work and we will provide the support and training you need to help you find a job.

What’s the eligibility criteria?
The Local London Work and Health Programme has been designed to support people who live in Barking and Dagenham, Bexley, Bromley, Enfield, Greenwich, Havering, Newham, Redbridge or Waltham Forest, are of working age and one of the below:

Unemployed and have claimed benefits for more than two years.

Have a health condition or a disability.

Have a dependency on drugs or alcohol.

Veterans, reserves or partner of a member of the Armed Forces.

Ex-offender or are on probation.

Carer, ex-carers or care leaver.

Victim of domestic violence, homeless or refugee.

Young person involved in a gang.
